The focus for UK Sport was to drive forward the narrative of the wider social impact high-performance sport and major events have on society.
Our brief was to communicate this to key stakeholders, media and funding partners through PR, Social and Content Production, via the stories of three athletes.

To highlight the social impact of high-performance sport on society, Hatch profiled three athletes; Darcy Bourne, Tully Kearney and Dan Powell.
For each athlete, Hatch produced the series of films to be used across online, media and social telling the story of their journey.
Hatch then pitched each of the stories to online, print and broadcast media securing a variety of coverage and interview opportunities.
Using her interview to promote diversity and equality in sport, Darcy’s story was picked up by online, print and broadcast media – securing a total of three pieces of broadcast coverage, across BBC and Sky Sports News.
Darcy’s story was also shared on social channels, leading to over 2.5K total engagements including 1,988 likes.
Tully’s video was particularly emotive, with fantastic visual assets which led to some fantastic coverage across online and broadcast media; including a piece in the Telegraph and on ITV Granada.
The story was also shared on social, resulting in 709 total engagements, including 392 total likes.
The third and final video in the series featured Dan Powell, British Judo athlete. Dan spoke on making sport more accessible, having experienced the transformational and positive impact it can bring first hand.
