April has been an extremely busy month for some of our Hatchlings as we embarked on a three-day photography and videography shoot to develop some new recipes, all in the name of peas!

On behalf of the British Growers Association, who run the Yes Peas! campaign, and working with Lincolnshire TV Chef Rachel Green, our brand ambassador, not only did the team manage to create thirteen cookery videos, we also captured some incredible lifestyle photography of every single dish in just three days.

2019 is a huge year for our client, Yes Peas!. The campaign has been running for over ten years, and in that time many of the recipes and images have remained the same, crying out for some fresh and exciting assets. Inspired by our pop-up pea café that we launched in 2018, we worked with Rachel to develop the new range of recipes.

These recipes had to fit in with current food trends – with veganism on the rise, meal prep becoming considerably more popular and a huge appetite for home cooked food, we ensured that each and every recipe catered to these trends. It goes without saying that each recipe also had to make a huge song and dance about our hero ingredient: the pea! From pea falafels to a vibrant pea dal, to a roast chicken with a pea salsa and a gorgeously green smoothie, our new recipes capture perfectly the versatility and flavour of the Great British Pea.

The new recipes will be hosted on the all-new Yes Peas! website (coming soon, so watch this space!) and will accompany the unveiling of our campaign rebrand, designed and created by Hatch’s in-house studio.

The early starts were definitely worth it, as the images and videos are looking spectacular! Keep an eye on www.peas.org, where we’ll be unveiling the recipes very soon…
