In the latest installment of our Meet The Team feature we’re profiling the copy supremo, Lucy.

Name: Lucy Hughes

Job Role: Senior Account Executive

Time at Hatch: 2 years

Q. First things first – how do you like your eggs?

A. Scrambled, preferably with cherry tomatoes and fried pancetta. Delicious.

Q. If you could invite three people to a dinner party, who would it be and why?

A.

1.  Mary Berry, because I’d love to talk about baking with her – and she could probably bring dessert.
2. Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She’d be a conversation starter.
3. My best friend, Rosie, for the laughs.

Q. What is the oddest possession you own?

A. Last year my boyfriend really struggled with a Christmas present, so he bought me a two-inch tall antique bronze boot which is supposed to hold matches. It’s got grooves on the back so you’re meant to be able to strike the match too… I don’t know why either. I’ve hidden it in a drawer somewhere.

Q. What has been your career highlight while working at Hatch?

A. Meeting Eddie the Eagle was pretty cool – we took him for his first ever Nando’s and talked about his love of the jive! I also loved the Tanqueray trip to Scotland.

Q. What is your office nickname?

A. Haven’t got one yet! Nothing’s stuck and I’m nearly two years in. Suggestions welcome…

Q. Time to choose: White Rose or Red Rose?

A. White, obviously. But my mum’s from Bolton, so I probably won’t be showing her this.

Q. If you could only ever listen to one song again, which would it be?

A. Newton Faulkner – Dream Catch Me

Q. What is your office snack of choice?

A. Anything chocolatey! Minstrels, Maltesers, chocolate buttons – whatever I can have with my afternoon coffee.

Q. Which brand would it be your dream to work with?

A. Betty’s & Taylors of Harrogate. Love a Yorkshire foodie brand.

Q. You’re on a sinking ship with all the Hatchlings, and you only have the power to save one. Who do you choose?

A. Don’t tell Nathaniel, but I’m fairly sure Bianca can sort travel at the snap of a finger so it may have to be her, just so I can make it home safely!
