The next Hatchling in our regular Meet The Team feature is one of ‘The Murphy Brothers’. No, they’re not gangsters, but they do have a reputation in the world of PR as being no-nonsense coverage getters; mess with them at your peril. It’s Fergus Murphy, or as we call him, Gus.

Q. First things first – how do you like your eggs?

A. Scrambled

Q. If you could invite three people to a dinner party, who would it be and why?

A. Cormac McCarthy for the insightful conversation; Will Ferrell for the laughs; and Jurgen Klopp to thank him for bringing excitement back to Anfield.

Q. What is the oddest possession you own?

A. A WW1 Knuckle-duster knife. That or my ping-pong paddle.

Q. What has been your career highlight while working at Hatch?

A. Being involved with a sell-out final at Wembley for the Checkatrade Trophy Final was a very good day.

Q. What is your office nickname?

A. The Gusmeister General.

A. Red
