July has been a month of many highlights here at Hatch, we had of course the long-awaited lifting of restrictions, that in PR and Social terms meant the return of events and activations and wow, have we been busy!

From a nationwide trophy tour with The Hundred, to sampling events for our clients Boost and Rio and of course, watching England playing live in the EURO’s final (we won’t talk about the result). This topped off by a week-long heatwave made for a very good July indeed.

Aside from our work at Hatch, here are some other campaigns we have been loving…

As July marks the start of holiday season, a number of Hatchlings have turned their hand to dog sitting whilst some of the team took a well-deserved break, so this next campaign by Dogs Trust will resonate…

The TV campaign, “Underwear ever after”, promotes its Canine Care Card, which ensures dogs are looked after if their owner dies. It touches on a heartfelt subject whilst keeping people smile with the day-to-day mischief that our furry friends bring into our lives.

Summer in full swing means one thing and one thing only, ICE CREAM and boy, we had a lot of campaigns incorporating the ice-cold treat.

Kicking things off is Virgin Red, who took the PR favourite of floating things down the Thames one step further by literally creating an ‘airborne’ ice-cream van, that saw Londoners climb a 15ft ladder to get their hand s on a free Mr Whippy!

In more boozy news, Havana Club is taking its new spiced rum ice-cream van on tour to celebrate its Cuban Spiced variety.

Visitors who turn up at Havana’s “Spiced cream van” can sample both the ice cream and cocktails. The grown-up ice cream is designed to taste like a creamy rum cocktail.

The tour begins in Scotland on 31 July and destinations include Glasgow and Edinburgh 31 July-5 August, Leeds 6-12 August, Manchester 13-19 August, Birmingham 20-25 August and London 26 August-5 September.

And finally, to complete our Ice Cream themed round-up, Maccies is now delivering it’s infamous McFlurrys to at-home Birthday parties, WHAT A TREAT. To celebrate 21 years of the McFlurry two lucky winners will receive a three-hour party experience complete with styling, a staffed McFlurry ice cream truck and a DJ.
