Last weekend the Hatchlings descended on Edinburgh for the much anticipated Christmas ‘do’, and we definitely did it in style!  Pink champagne flowing at 11.30am? Well, that’s just the way the Hatch team roll…

We arrived at the stunning Chester Residence (greeted by some very attractive men in kilts, might I add),  dropped our suitcases off and had a quick wander down Princes Street before getting ready for the ‘surprise’ in the evening.

Like kids on Christmas Eve we were all trying to figure out where we were going and what we’d be doing but all was revealed when we pulled up outside Tigerlily – A Cocktail Masterclass!

I’d like to say the Hatch team are now ‘Cocktail Mixologists’, but I think we’ll need a few more lessons before we can give ourselves such status. We moved on to the Christmas dinner, which was lovely, although I’m not sure Holly would agree – smelly cheese and chocolate fudge is apparently not a good combo?

After a few more bottles of wine we headed to the club where the cocktail magic happened, got our dancing shoes on (or took them off), hit the light up dance floor and partied the night away.

Saturday morning came round and proudly wearing our new woolly Hatch hats, we marched in to Edinburgh, fighting the hangovers and looking like a badly assembled Where’s Wally flashmob. We did some brief sight-seeing before admitting defeat and diving in to the nearest pub.  It’s not often there’s silence with the Hatchlings around, but the train journey back to Leeds was a fairly quiet one…   All in all, a cracking weekend in Edinburgh and one unforgettable Christmas Party.

PS. What happens in Edinburgh, stays in Edinburgh…
