June marked six successful years since the birth of Hatch Communications and to say we’ve come a long way is an understatement.
It seems like yesterday I was answering our office phone in my dining room when we first set up (the phone ringtone was a cow mooing for those who didn’t know!)
They say a week is a long time in politics. Believe me, six years seems like a lifetime in PR!
We set out to be different, creative and have fun and I’d like to think this still holds true. Even if James and I have a few grey hairs to show for our efforts, it’s been a hell of a ride!
Over six years, the Hatchlings have seen three prime ministers, a man sky-diving from space, hundreds (possibly thousands!) of football managers, the twerk, a roller-coaster economy and the explosion of all things social.
We’ve enjoyed the ride and won a few accolades along the way.
In no particular order we’ve promoted Rabbit Awareness Week, undertaking the first Crabbie’s Grand National, launched the UK’s first soft shower tray, help raise over £160k for charity, saved a football club, made dreams come true at most Premier League pitches around the country, put Yorkshire Wensleydale on the map, created a communications strategy for a World Cup, made Ollie the Octopus a national hero, brought back Keith Chegwin to the nation’s doorsteps and supported Ray Quinn through thick and thin.
Non of this could have been achieved without a cracking bunch of colleagues and clients. Six years down and we’re already looking forward to the next six.
Happy Birthday to us!
