Last Thursday, Charley and Holly (aka the PCH Prize Team!) wrapped up warm and braced the freezing temperatures in Sheffield to track down lucky Lorraine Turton to hand her a cheque for £15,000, which she won after entering a free prize draw on pchprizes.co.uk

TV Star Keith ‘Cheggers’ Chegwin reprised his ‘Down your Doorstep’ segment on The Big Breakfast to help us find Lorraine and we all had our fingers crossed that she would be at home when we came knocking!

It was a busy morning which saw us whizzing around Sheffield on a cash trail in the PCH Prizes taxi, stopping to give an interview on Hallam FM on the way – the presenters were delighted to meet the legend that is Cheggers and wasted no time tweeting about it.

We then drove around Sheffield, celebrating the £15,000 prize giving by handing out a total of £1,500 to 15 lucky winners picked at random at the train station and Meadowhall shopping centre, before the team headed over to Lorraine’s house.

Fortunately, Lorraine was in – she was stunned to see Cheggers on her doorstep and even more shocked when he presented her with a cheque for £15,000! She said it couldn’t have come at a better time with the freezing weather as she could finally buy double glazing for her house with her winnings.

Phew, mission accomplished! With the cheque handed over and some celebratory pictures taken with Lorraine, we headed back to Leeds and waved Cheggers off down the M1.

The local press attended, with some great coverage appearing in the regional papers and an interview in The Sun Online with Keith talking about his door-knocking experiences with PCH Prizes. Read about it here – http://bit.ly/10M83np

We get to do it all again in March when the Prize Team will once again turn into super sleuths to hunt down the winner of the £100,000 prize draw. You never know, if you’ve entered, it could be Cheggers knocking on your door next
