Our Work

More Cheese! (and Butter)

by James Hickman

It’s been an exciting couple of months for the cheese-lovers at Hatch HQ, as we were appointed by The Wensleydale Creamery to manage both its consumer and trade PR accounts.

The Creamery, the only producers of Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese, made famous by Wallace and Gromit of course, tasked us with launching their new ‘Dales Butter’ and Premium Range of cheeses. We’ll be continuing to manage their press office activity going forward and working closely with the team on driving tourism to the Dales.

Our first mission saw Kirsty and I don our wellies and umbrellas to tackle a very wet Great Yorkshire Show on the 10th July, to launch their new ‘Dales Butter’, luckily the day before the show was rained off! The new product saw a great response with coverage across the region’s newspapers, radio stations and grocery trade media, proving the traditionally churned butter, which complements the cheese-makers award winning range of core and blended Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheeses, to be a great success.

Our hair suffered and we had no idea where we abandoned Kirsty’s car, but all in all it was a PR mission accomplished.
